The F.B.A. is a part of the NERC group and the principal NERC institute for research into the biology of fresh waters.
The Association maintains two laboratories, one on the shores of lake Windermere, and one on the banks of the river Frome.
It has published a large number of works on freshwater invertebrates including many useful keys.
Membership Costs
Ordinary member £20.00 per year.
Student member £10.00
Life membership £400.00, reduced to £250.00 for age 60 of over (very useful for institutes).
